The music and fantasy project “Sapphire Phoenix” started at 2010 in Saint Petersburg, but shortly after that the author and leader, Maria-Henrietta, moved to another country, and the creative work was paused “until better times come”. As surprising as it can be, such times indeed came, and during 2013-2014 we've managed to record the album 'Line' for your listening pleasure. We've worked hard to supply it with an impressive number of visual arts, to film a music video, to open project pages in the social networks and, finally, to create this site, which was completely reworked ad 2016. Today Sapphire Phoenix is one of the most unusual groups of Russian-speaking rock. We combine a quality music, lyrics in Russian, progressive metal elements and ethnic stylizations. Maria-Henrietta (aka Chen Panikian, the name Chen is the transformation of the first syllable of ‘Henrietta’ into a modern Israeli name) – founder mother, leader, the source of inspiration, in addition – poet, composer and singer of the project. She was born in Saint Petersburg. Currently lives in Israel, but visits her northern homeland very frequently. As most of the rock heroes she doesn’t have a formal education in music. The same is true about any other type of education which would allow her to be considered a decent person. She is writing poetry from age 5, loves deserts, hard rock and killing time in social networks. She's also a blogger, philanthropist, copywriter and art photo model. In short, a human being without principles and money.
Talented guys from Saint Petersburg. Our project owes them for their work on “Line” album and several bold singles. Our cooperation between 2010 and 2016 brought us a lot of musical stuff, plenty of bruises, a great deal of emotions and large quantity of progressive style in music.

Author and performer of several songs, concepts generator and just the main “bro”. Was born in Saint Petersburg, studied quite a few things there, eventually selected veterinary as a trade of choice, and that’s the field where she works untiringly. In the earlier period of her youth she was a fan of Kino band. Listened to Aria, Kipelov, Amatouri, and, in general, was spotted having “defamatory” connections with Russian metal music. In the middle band the timbre of Karine’s voice is virtually indistinguishable from such of the main singer Maria-Henrietta, which can cause interesting and fun effects.
